Battle Angel Alita Last Order 16 is the next to last chapter of the seemingly endless Zenith of Things Tournament. The ZOTT has taken over the book since volume 5 and will soon be over...Really there's not much else to say.I read this in about a half hour, there's some twists and turns but basically it's a 200 page fight scene that continues the last book's 200 page fight scene and leads into the next book's 200 page fight scene.It's sad how bad this book has gotten. I'm only reading in the hope that once the ZOTT is over it will recapture some of its greatness.

I couldn't find a review or guidance anywhere online on what volume(s) follow this one (Omnibus 5). It's not like this is some rare underground series. I checked the publisher's site, Kodansha, to no avail. There was no mention as to what was next, even after scouring through these other reviews!Grrrr. So, after finally digging through wikipedia, I've discovered that the Omnibus' end at volume 15. Therefore, for those other souls that love a great cyberpunk manga series with brilliant fighting sequences, expansive character development, and a cannon so robust that it requires footnotes in the margins: the next volumes to purchase after Omnibus 5 are Volume 16-19. And then it's over, and you can move on with your life :]

I was so happy to find these Omnibus collections because I had bought Last order 1-9 and then moved a few times and when I rediscovered these books I wanted to start my collection back up but found some the individual volumes to be ridiculously overpriced. It took me a while to figure out which of the Omnibuses to buy. Essentially each Omnibus contains 3 volumes. So I purchased the 4th Vol. (covers Last order volumes 10-12) and the 5th Vol. (covers last order volumes 13-15). Now I'm collecting the final four individually because there is no Omnibus Vol. 6th (at least not yet). As for the content: It's battle angel alita. I don't think you'd be buying these books if you don't know what that means. Lots of fighting with superpowered/high tech moves that nearly destroy the arena over and over again and the good guys somehow miraculously survive, in one form or another. I love the historical notes. Some are truly historical and some are part of the history of Kishiro's universe.

Bought for my son for Christmas. He loves these books and very happy there is a movie coming out this year. He's a fanatic for these books and so please to have received them.

I am an unabashed fan of Yukito Kishiro's work. While I respected the stand he made against his former publisher, I was saddened by the delay it caused in me reading the next volume of Battle Angel.As far as the book itself. The battle continues, and the author's prowess at being able to portray insane combat in a way that not only seems technically feasible (it isn't if you work out the equations, but just go with it you'll be happier) but is somewhat easy to understand as you are reading it.

Probably one of best graphic novel series I've read. I love that the action and story are presented so well with such exceptional art style!

Just buy this and the other 4 volumes. this series is amazing and thought provoking.

If you love Battle Angel Alita then Last Order is the perfect buy for your collection.
