Very deceiving that this book is sold WITHOUT the audio. Why would anyone want to purchase a book with LISTENING exercises without the audio files? In the beginning, it says that you can click on an icon to access the audio files, but it didn't work for me. This is very upsetting!!!
I bought this book to have the latest updates on questions in the toefl exam but still the exam had more complicated questions especially in the speaking section. Also it is not helping with the listening. The questions in the real exam are soooo shrewed and tricky that even understaning 100% of what you listening won’t help. Toefl is an exam to make you make a mistake. It is not the best way of rating your english knowledge. This book also is not helping that much.
This book is amazing it gives you an idea of what to expect. I'll take the test next week and will update my review then.I tested 2 days ago and the examples in the book have the same structure as in the actual test. The reading part is 20 min. for each passage and the answers. Speaking was excactly the same which gives you good practice opportunities. Listening...I have to say they speak faster than on the CD. And the writing were the same.All in all this book is very helpful.
Do not purchase the kindle version. No audio included.
Don't buy this e-book from Amazon! It does NOT came with the downloadable content. This was very upsetting. I got in touch with Amazon to try to receive the content, but they put me in touch with an ETS assistant, who explained that since I purchased it from Amazon, there was nothing she could do. I'm asking for a refund now.
Very good guide for high-intermediate to low-advanced ESL students. The first 220 pages explain how the TOEFL exam works and from page 221 on there are practice exercises.
Just wanted the CD. Well... all i can say is what they offer on CD is so much easier then the test itself. The listening section is brutal on the actual exam- YOU DO HAVE TO TAKE NOTES!. Buy the Princeton review instead.
Textbook is good! Separate 4 section (Reading, Whiting, Listening and Speaking) it is useful for study TOEFL.However, I couldn’t watch DVD-ROM with Mac-PC...
