This is a great nursing school resource. I use this when writing my care Plans, and it has helped tremendously because the rationales are included for most of the interventions.Also, don't take "pocket size" too literally. This is definitely not that conveniently sized.

I'm in nursing school and this book as been helpful finding nursing diagnosis' and has specific interventions. The book has all the usual NANDA diagnosis'. It also has a ton of interventions that you can use as starting points to tailor to your specific patient.

This book has helped me so much in nursing school! It helps me to write effective care plans with appropriate nursing diagnosis with rationale.

Pocket guide is organized in a way that makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. Nsg Dx are labeled by taxonomy and defined. Includes RT, AEB, desired outcomes, interventions are prioritized and include rationals. I prefer it over the Sparks and Taylor's Nsg DX pocket book. The size is small enough to stuff in your bag and carry with you to clinicals. I bought used in Good condition. The book has minimal shelf wear but otherwise is in great conditon. I highly recommend this pocket edition to nursing students.

I like this book; however, the term "Pocket Guide" is misleading. I mistakenly thought that it would be small enough to put in a pocket in my scrubs. At about 1½ inches thick… there is no way I could keep this in a pocket.

Just got this little book in the mail, its a nice size, and on first glance, it looks a little difficult to read, but I'm sure I'll understand once I begin my nursing classes.

A lot of good info on production if your new or been around for awhile

The book is easily accessible, informative and well written, but large chunks of it are about a decade behind the times.With HD and Red Cams now on the scene, film lab work is no longer necessary. And any discussion of VHS should be completely removed and replaced with DVD and digital delivery methods.

A good A-Z book for an independent film maker. A little old though, perhaps an updated version dealing with digital and computers would be better. But definitely a lot of info on the process.

For me, this book was too general to be of any help.The best I've read so far is FROM REEL TO DEAL.

This is one of the best introductions I've ever read on making an independent feature film. It covers everything from writing the script to distribution in foreign markets and does so clearly, concisely, entertainingly and within 238 pages. As a film editor, I can say the chapter on editing basics is right on. The sections on money (both raising it and receiving it once your movie is distributed) are both eye-openers. It's a very realistic, honest source of information about making an independent feature.As for criticism: Written in 1997, the book gives a pretty short shrift to DV, but it does admit that things will change. Also, it focuses primarily on features and not shorts. And at 230 pages, it's still just an introduction, but honestly, I can't think of a better introduction to give to a first time filmmaker -- who's either starting her first short or making that first feature.Highest recommendation.
